Krzysztof Pius Zanussi is a renowned Polish film and theatre director, producer, and screenwriter. A veteran filmmaker, he has received prestigious awards, including the Golden Lion at the 1984 Venice Film Festival for "A Year of the Quiet Sun" and the Jury Prize at the 1980 Cannes Film Festival for "The Constant Factor." Noteworthy Grands Prix were also earned at the 1977 and 2000 Gdynia Film Festival for "Camouflage" and "Life as a Fatal Sexually Transmitted Disease." Recognising his exceptional contributions, Zanussi is honoured with the festival's Lifetime Achievement Award, a testament to his enduring impact on cinema. Currently, he serves as a professor at the European Graduate School in Switzerland and the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School at the University of Silesia in Katowice.
